Monday is Pajama Day, Tuesday is Twin Day, Wednesday is Anything but a Backpack and College Day, and Thursday is Jersey Day. Spirit Week is an event we long anticipate each year. From October 21st to the 24th, students can showcase their best school spirit by participating in activities and wearing their best clothes!
“THE DONUTS WERE VERY DELICIOUS!” Regina Colmenero (participant, class of 2026).
On Monday, those who wore their best pajamas received a donut—a very sweet treat before initiating the pillow fights on the blacktop. Seniors and first-year students fought against each other; as expected, seniors won most rounds.

Next, on Tuesday, it was Twin Day. Students arrived at school wearing the same clothes as their friends. By the time lunch came around, the tug-of-war activity took place on the blacktop. Friends played against each other to determine who had the most strength.
On Wednesday, we celebrated spirit week by wearing clothing representing colleges and bringing our school supplies in anything but a backpack! Students came to school wearing merchandise from colleges they were interested in; some brought unconventional items to hold their belongings. During lunch, students participated in “Donuts on the Line,” where students attempted to each donut hanging off of the string. The activity brought the students lots of laughs and funny moments and gave them a sweet treat.

Finally, on Thursday, students came to school wearing jerseys from various sports teams to support their favorite teams. At lunch, students participated in arm wrestling, competing against their friends, bringing the community together on spirit week, and bringing lots of fun to the school day!
Spirit week was a total success! ASF students were brought together and showed a lot of school spirit during the week's events. Laughter and joy filled the entire school. The excitement and joyful atmosphere peaked on Friday while students cheered on our ASF teams during the homecoming sports games and pep rally.
