ASF, Sept.23, Recently, the University Guidance Team at ASF has launched a new initiative offering field trips to universities for those who are considering staying in Mexico to complete their career. On the 23rd of September, the program led its first field trip to el TEC de Monterrey Campus Santa Fe. Upon their arrival, students were greeted with a nice breakfast and received a brief talk led by a college student, who spoke about her experience at the university.

“THIS UNIVERSITY IS HUGE,” said Andrea Falcón (participant, class of 2026).
Following the general information session event, students were split into three groups for a guided tour of the campus. Though some were tired of walking around the campus, everyone was amazed by the scale of the university and had a lot to say about it. Throughout the tour, each group explored the labs, classrooms, and gym.
Later on, each group attended a workshop that they had previously signed up for. The workshops Escuderías de Ingeniería, Build Structures that Matter, and Prisión preventiva en México, all included an activity that allowed students to explore more about a particular field of study of their interest. Those in the Escuderías de Ingeniería workshop, learned about sustainable engineering, while students part of the Build Structures that Matter workshop, focused on architecture and industrial engineering. Meanwhile, Prisión preventiva en México allowed students to learn about law and economics, letting them explore some of the inner workings of the Mexican legal system.
The last session brought all students back together for a workshop on the Methodology of Learning. The workshop was mainly focused on the importance of teamwork and highlighted ways in which a person can improve their communication and organizational skills.

Overall, the visit to el TEC was an inspiring and captivating experience. Students got the opportunity to explore their desired careers at the best private university of Mexico. We can’t wait to visit more universities in the future!
