Local officials and community leaders have expressed their condolences to the victims' families and pledged to work together to prevent future tragedies. The incident has reignited discussions about gun violence in schools and the need for enhanced safety measures.
Many of Colt Gray’s friends and classmates spoke about the matter on social media. Watching those simple teenagers with lives that barely differed from a normal life, speak about dragging their dying teacher into a classroom to try and stop them from bleeding out. They spoke about calling their parents and telling them how much they loved them. These young people talk about how they prayed for their lives or how they wished they never had to witness the death of someone so close to them.
