Kahan has been open about his struggles with anxiety and depression throughout his career. His songs often highlight his feelings of inadequacy and anxiety. This past year he launched The Busyhead Project named after his debut album. According to an Instagram post on May 25th, 2023 The Busyhead Project was an endeavor with the goal of raising money to support charities that fight against the stigma surrounding mental health.
