This September 14-15, the famed German e ectronic music label came to Mexico City to perform at Parque Bicentenario. Gathering thousands of people from nine pm on Saturday to six am on Sunday, Keinemusik did not disappoint, playing its most successful hit songs like Move, Thandaza, and Cesara Lina.
However, the most impressive songs of the night were remixes of Rauw Alejandros, Santa, Bad Bunny’s, Dakiti, and an acapella of Canta y no Llores. Although the IDs for these songs are not available on Spotify yet, they are on Soundcloud! Check their music out here.
Primarily on stage, DJs Adam Port and &ME performed, making the concert a back-to-back between both artists.
It was hard to miss the event in Mexico City, as leading up to the 14th, and thereon after entering Parque Bicentenario, all you could see were the well-acclaimed Keinemusik fans, with their sunglasses and colorful bandanas on, despite the simultaneous pouring rain and thunder: if there is one thing about techno fans, the dress code will never disappoint. Of course, this also applied to my friend group. One of my friends, Andrea, wore a white skirt that, by the time we returned home, was more of what we called an “ombre brown,” and my black boots were almost unrecognizable. But hey, at least we got good pictures.
A record label founded in Berlin in 2009, the group Keinemusik is known internationally in the field of electronic music (techno & house) and has received recent acclaim for its African-inspired remixes.
The entrance to the venue was very quick and easy, and the park itself had plenty of space and booths to buy food and merchandise. Multiple times throughout the event, my friends and I stopped to get snacks and food, and the process went smoothly. However, interesting to note that security removed all cosmetic products upon entering, including lip glosses!

If you missed it this time, don’t fret, as they are coming back to Mexico from the 10th of January to the 13th, in Tulum! And this time they are bringing the cloud!
